* Song of the Day : Ray Lamontagne - All the Wild Horses
Have you ever met someone and thought to yourself,
"Wait, good people still do exist ?"
I found myself asking this very question the moment I met Debbie and her amazing family, which includes her two daughters, Jennifer and Jacklyn, and husband Larry. On each and every occasion I've run into them, I'm greeted with nothing but big smiles, warm hugs, and wondrous stories of their travels and lives.
On September 10th, I had the privilege of taking photos for their second annual ALS Fundraiser at the Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip District in honor of Larry. They have a small shop at the P.P.M. there called Jenn's Jems and Mosaic Glass Creations.
Tickets to this event included food and drink from multiple vendors within the P.P.M., music from Sal Ventura, and the opportunity to win outstanding prizes within the Chinese auction; proceeds going toward the Western P.A. Chapter of ALS Association. It was great seeing volunteers Kristy and Christi from ALS, and many close friends and family supporting Larry and his family for the second year in a row. The event had this great raw positive energy, that warm fuzzy feeling you get that fills you from head to toe. I think Larry felt it too because every time I looked over at him he was smiling ear to ear.
I am forever grateful to have them in my life, and honored to call them friends.
" But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine" - Thomas Jefferson
